Baby / Child Car Seat

Postby tucka20 » Sat Oct 29, 2016 2:13 pm

Hi all,

Currently looking into buying a second car. We have a Focus estate and have just sold a Nissan Leaf electric car which was our second. The Megane CC is coming up as an option but for one point; we have a 1 year old.

Has anybody comfortably and safely had a young'un in the back? I have had a look and the boot (roof up) would be more than big enough for us, but we need to know if we can get an isofix car seat in (or seat belt car seat)

Thanks for any advice.

Jordan

Hi jordan
Grandchildren go in back often.
Cc has isofix but never used it we use seat belt securing. The big bulky fist seats dont fit well at all you are left with a gap at the base of the seat this is because the cc rear seat leans forward and the base drops at rear so the rear passenger sit "in" the seat.
The seats that fit the best are the ones that pivot at the base they also split as a booster seat they fit nice but child will fall forward when it sleeps again due the design of rwar seat... they are doable but not very practical as child tranaport plus aa child gets older they have to sit with crossed legs if the front seat passengers are over 5foot tall as front seat almost touches rear seat but as said doable.
