water in megane cc rear footwells

my wifes cc kept filling with water in the rear footwells , tried all the online tips to no avail . while working on a rear window module i noticed the rear wing inner panel was full of water & overflowing into the rear footwells , looking under the cills i noticed some oblong plastic grommits , i prised the one nearest to the rear wheel out & a large amount of water poured out , did the same on the other side , left the grommits out & the car has been dry for over a year . hope this helps .
