Megan CC 1.5 dci Electric fault with mirrors/cruise control/windows NSF & NSR HELP!

Postby fishermanrus » Fri Aug 21, 2015 1:40 pm

:banghead

I have a 2009 MK11 Megan CC

I started to get intermittent problems with the NSF window working and stopping during operation. The same then started with the NSR window too. Then they both stopped working altogether! After this the cruise control/speed limiter stopped working and don't have any dash lights to say it is on etc. Then tried to used the electric mirrors and now they have stopped!
Checked all the fuses in the glove box and they are all fine, just don't know what to do now?????

Please help it's driving me nuts! I'm only on benefits because of a car accident with a uninsured driver so don't have much money, should I invest in a OBD reader? Would it tell me what is causing these problems?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, first thing I'd check is your drains in the bulk head as these get blocked and cause alsorts of problems as once blocked water starts leaking into foot wells were under passenger seat is a plug which will get wet and cause electrical problems, also if drains are blocked passenger side will overflow onto wiring hence water finding its way into foot wells, check your drains first and check to see if both foot wells are damp or wet and then start checking all wiring and plugs for water ingress

also check that both access covers are in place in the wheel arches ( access for headlight lamp ) especially the passenger side as there is a control box behind this one that will get wet if its missing and cause problems
Drive it like you stole it
