Megane CC meet 2nd try

Sorry guys, work got in the way so I could not organize the last one properly.

Lets try again and this time can I get some help from anyone planning on coming?

1. Where are the majority of people located so we can work out a central location?

2. How long should the meet be? (1 day, 2 or a weekend?)

3. What type of driving do people prefer? (Motorway, or A or B roads)

We would be interested in meeting up but it is now a busy time of year with MG things.

We live in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

A one day meeting might be best to start with, start small and build up.

A & B roads are best for driving but motorways make it easier to get to the meeting point.

If you need any help with arranging anything let me know. Fingers crossed we can sort something out this time!

Derbyshire for me so most places are acceptable. Just a thought but would it be easier to tag onto an existing event? There are plenty of car shows big and small, where we could meet up or attend as a group. I was at Skipton car show last week and the whole main Street was closed to traffic with a large turn out from the VW camper guys. Or my local pub is holding a car and bike show next week. So there might offer a good place to meet and get to know each other before moving on to our own event??

I am down in Kent.

I go regularly to meganecc.info meets where we usually drive around to different locations. Sometimes from one hotel other times from hotel to hotel. Usually around 60 mile trip.

I am up for just about anywhere in terms of location but agree maybe the first meet should be a day thing and see how it goes.

I will do some research and make some proposals.

Scotlands answer to route 66? Looks beautiful.

But I think this would need at least 6 months notice as there will be a lot of planning involved as I am in kent.

We just went up for a weekend of driving in Kit Cars in June, had the weather been much kinder, it would have been spectacular, and it was the turning point for me deciding agains't building another one, thinking as I was getting drenched, how nice it would be in a convertible, the roads were superb, but the weather spoilt it, so in a convertible, I would see a fantastic weekend of driving and some decent cheap accommodation too. We travelled all the way up to Fort William, and the roads to get us there were great smooth roads,

Maybe I will be in a position next year to tag along too?

I can get the route from our forum if you like, and you can see if you think its a go or not.
