dumped 3 gallon of petrol in 1.5 empty diesel tank ...

drove 15 miles oblivious..
wouldn't start on my return to car so I pumped the diesel pump manually and she started and drove home with me suspecting air in the fuel lines....
Gradually it dawned on me it might be the diesel I thought I put in and then I realised I might have picked the wrong fuel nozzle up..
A trip to the garage and a sift through his receipts showing I had put unleaded in !!!!
brimmed the tank with diesel and she fires up fine now but the interesting thing is ...
I got 64 mpg on that 15mile return journey !
