found some rust on the A pillar , are these covered by cosmetic panels or am I in for a epic mot failure ?

The tester is not allowed to remove things to find defects so if your rust is coverd by a trim then u are ok as they can not look behind it they r not allowed

My mate said its just plastic and it's the paint bubbling from poor painting.It Certainly feels like plastic.

They are plastic, put the roof down and you will see the securing screw , remove this and the trim just unclips
