Window problems

Postby Marathon » Fri Aug 29, 2014 6:57 pm

I have a 2005 megane cc 1900, the problem is the rear windows. They operate from the centre console switch but do not operate from either the drivers door or rear passenger switches. I have checked the fuses and they seam ok. When I check the power to the door switched I get 12 volts on the rear window switches but no voltage on the child safety switch for the rear windows. Is there another fuse somewhere or is there something else I can check.

I have the same problem but only with the rear driver's side window. I can put it down with the driver's door control, but cannot put it back up. The switch under the window does not put it up or down. I have to use the centre control switch to put it up, which can be annoying when I want to just control that one window. My mechanic has taken a look at the switches and says he cannot find anything wrong with them.

I've been told it might be the body control unit that's faulty but can't find out where it's located on the car.

This also could be down to the temic module at the bottom of each motor as these are common problems, also check the block connector under the passenger seat, you can see the flap if you move the seat as far back as possible and check to see if any moisture or water as it can cause numerous problems if block connector has damp or water in :cry
