Starting car

Has anyone had it where you press start button and nothing happens, mine is keyless entry and start and if I press once it looks like its going to start then nothing then I press again and it says no steering lock then I press for a 3rd time and it fires up, I've reset car by disconnecting battery for 20mins but to no avail 
has anyone else had this problem before
