57 plate cruise control

Postby glynnbhg » Tue Dec 31, 2013 9:36 pm

Hi

New cc owner here.

Can't seem to get the cruise control to operate, press the switch but no light comes on the dashboard, is this fused or could there be a wire off, the speed limiter does not work either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Glynn.

You need to have someone connect a clip to it to let it know it has cruise control if you want it to show on the dash, it will work however without it being programmed in :-)

Thanks for the heads up, had the car back to the dealer who sold it and they were no use the most they could tell me was that there is power going to the system but that was it. Just to clarify I am getting no green / orange light on the dash when the switch it on is this what you mean when you say an auto electrician needs to tell the car it has the system so it will actaully turn on ?

Looking for a local auto spark tomorrow so could do with going in with some info.

thanks in advance.

apart from this minor issue I am 3 weeks into cc ownership and am loving the car.

have you read the manual on how to operate the cruise control as there is also a switch to operate on the right hand side of the dash where you level the lights for different loads
Drive it like you stole it

Hi

yes its this switch which is not illuminating the indication on the dashboard on the speedo dial when pressed for either SL or CC option.

Hi

I know this thread is a few months old, but I just wondering if you sorted out your cruise control. I've got the exact same issue with my Renault sport megane R26.

Thanks
