Mates really having a dilemma..
Her megane cc07 auto trip tropic 1.6 has come with electrical fault. When her husband got it checked the brake circuit switch which is near the uch came up- he bought be from dealers and changed it. Few weeks later message has come again. Interior lights don come on at all. Car drives ok .
Car has gone crazy throwing faults all over

Thank you

Hey, good to chat with you yesterday.

Clunk could be a gearbox mounting?

I know there is a brake switch in the passenger compartment (I've seen it on mine), but I'm not sure why it's there as usually they're under the brake pedal. I haven't had a look at the brake pedal on mine, but my mate's got a 5-door auto and his switch (he says) is under the brake pedal, so I'm confused what the relevance of this 'extra' switch is or why it would throw up a fault.

We'll check the interior lights when you pop down

Awful lot of codes there!

Did they clear the codes? Some of them might be historic codes. They should have tried to clear the codes and whichever came back would need attention...

It's more like a polyemma, isn't it?

Lol
Well because it's under warranty they have checked the codes after a lot of arguing and have said it looks like ecu. So that's going to be tested tom . Hopefully

The other ? Is that with the seat airbag errors and tensioners were do they be connected?

I know there is one under the seat but is there any other connector ..

Thank you

There is a plug under the seats and also a micro switch fitted to the seat framework for the airbags

Is the cover fitted in the passenger wheel arch trim that allows you to change the light bulbs
Drive it like you stole it

Please have a look in the factory manual in the sticky thread, file MR366MEGANE8.pdf, search for the codes.

Yes, they point at the UPC, PSU and the under seat connector. Many problems with these cars are caused by water ingress, particularly into the PSU under the bonnet. The latter gets wet if the hatch cover on the left front wheel arch liner is missing.
