Hi,
I have a 2004 Megane Convertible with a roof that has stopped working. I have a message displaying 'roof mechanism fault' and I have no response at all when I press either switch by the handbrake (the one to make all the windows go down or the roof).
I've checked the fuses and had a convertible expert take a look who tells me all the microswitches/sensors appear to be working fine, the hydraulics seem to be fine and the latches are all good. The last time I used the roof it closed fine with no indication of it struggling or any other problems closing it. The battery has also been disconnected and the computer settings reset.
All the windows work fine independently, but the switch by the handbrake that puts them all down isn't responding at all - no beeps, nothing.
Has anyone else had this problem? Do you think I should replace the switches or is it more likely to be electrical?
Thoughts much appreciated!

Re: Roof mechanism fault
This does sound like the switches, this would be the cheapest option to start with and the cc's switches can be a bit tempremental. I am surprised the convertile expert did not check them tho.
