Hi. I'm looking to get a space saver spare for my 2007 CC which has 17" wheels.
I have read that the 15" golf Mk2 space saver can be used after the hub hole has been machined larger. Is anyone aware of another space saver that can be used that doesn't need machining ? Perhaps from the Nissan family as they share some mechanics from the Renault range ?
Looking on Ebay, they're aren't any suitable VW wheels but several Ford 4 stud wheels and some other 4 studs but I don't know if the PCD or ET is suitable for the CC.
Thanks
David

Re: Space saver spare
Thanks Tommi3737.
I had heard from this website https://www.cabriault.com/meganecc/index_uk.htm that 14" wheels don't clear the brakes. Have you tried your 14" on the front ? What model CC have you got ?
What car did the 14" wheel come off and did you need to modify the central hub hole ?
I could only see one link to other threads, are there more ?
Thanks
David

I didnt try on the front. The idea is:
-when you got a flat tyre on the front wheel you move rear wheel to the front and you put a spare to the rear.
-This one is from my Megane 1 ph2. But it is not original.... -i think. I didnt have to do anything with a hole...
