Hi,
my daughter has a 2008 1.9 dci Megane CC and the alarm keeps going off, turning off the volumetric sensors (by pressing the stop/start button 5 times) inside the car seems to cure the problem, we have looked inside the car and cannot find the sensors.
Does anyone know where they are and/or what they look like please?
Cheers.
volumetric sensors, where are they?

Re: volumetric sensors, where are they?
On all models bar the CC they're on the C-pillars near the rear window, on the CC I think they are on the top of the A-pillars at the side of the windscreen. They are about 3cm by 2cm and look like tiny speaker grills.
If I'm wrong about location I'm sure a CC owner will put me right.

Re: volumetric sensors, where are they?
Hi,
thanks for the replies but I'm afraid there is nothing on the "A" pillars thats the first place we looked, and we cannot find anything thats looks like a small speaker.
Today a friend of hers got his mate who used to be a Renault mechanic, he spent over an hour looking, covering various parts of the interior and couldn't find them, he rang 3 other Renault mechs and they had no idea.
So if anyone has anyother suggestions please put them forward.
Denzilpc what year is your megane CC.

Should be 2, either side of those pillars, just above the wing mirror height.....mines a 55 plate cc, and has them. they have to be there, cos they cover the whole of the car with the roof down!

Re: volumetric sensors, where are they?
Hi, thanks for the replies, it would seem it has a microwave sensor fitted apparently Renault started fitting them instead of the ultrasonic type and it seems they can be fitted anywhere, as they work through any solid object except metal so we are going to try covering various parts ofthe interior with tin foil starting with the center console, it's a favourite place to fit them apparently.
I have tried the local Renault dealer but they just want it taking in for them to find what has triggered the alarm, as much as I tried I couldn't get them to understand that the alarm itself tells you what has triggered it.

Well this is interesting news! I hope you can find the sensors and will post back with their locations.
