Burning smell when opening roof

Hi

I have recently bought a 2007 Megane CC. When I open the roof there is a burning smell, which obviously dissipates as soon as I drive off! Is this normal or heard of by anyone before?

Hi Michael,

I'm sorry to say, but I don't think that's normal. Mine doesn't make any smells when the roof's operating.. burning smell sounds like it could be nasty.. :(
