Hi,
I have a 2007 Privilege version of the CC and haven't had the vehicle for very long. I was wondering how squeaky other owners roofs are with the roof up?
I took some time to raise the roof half way and clean/silicone spray all the rubber seals between the roof panels. This didn't seem to help much. I also checked to see that internal plastic roof parts were connected/fastened correctly....found a couple that were off their support posts but that didn't seem to help much either...
This is my first experience with a 'hard top' convertible and I don't know what level of noise from the roof is the norm? I have owned quite a few soft top convertibles and am very familiar with wind noise and chassis scuttle but thought this vehicle would be relatively quiet with the roof up?
Any experiences with roof up noise and any advice on calming roof squeaks appreciated.
Thanks

Mines a 2004 and I get very little roof noise and certainly no squeaks, yes a bit of scuttle shake over bumpy surfaces but that's to be expected. Try opening the roof a little and smearing some grease on the 2 locking hooks and the 2 locating pins at the front/bottom of the open the roof, be sure to apply the grease sparingly though. If that doesn't work get someone to drive the car while you concentrate on tracking the noise down, plastic panels can give weird noises at times.

I had a similar problem after cleaning the rubbers on top of screen and between the next folding section,i bought some rubber grease from Ebay as none of the local factors seemed to stock it and put the roof into its half way(with engine running) and spread some of this grease on the seals and pins and boy what a difference! 100% better .

Do your boot seal as well and also silicone lube spray the lifting hindges in the boot, it could be the plastic "parcel shelf" rubbing so lube its end seal as well, I also lube my window seal rubbers, the trouble I find with these CC,s is the crap build quality, every thing is held in place with clips, with that black glass roof the car gets very hot in the summer months so the plastics expand and contract a lot, working the clips loose, as for the roof locking mechanism careful with grease as it attracts dirt, make sure the hindges and seals are clean and lubed, I ussualy end up doing mine around once every 6 weeks in the summer as the roof is off more, the above usually covers any noises inside with my 04 CC.
Actually just has another thought have a look in the boot under the carpet at the polystarine block holding jack and silly cans of tyre repair mine made squeaking sounds after this had been disturbed, it may be loose, that will make a squeaking sound only slightly but as the car twists and pitches it rubs on the boot floor.

That's helpful, thanks.
Is this ok for all the seals? Does it bleed when it rains? I was looking at Swissvax seal feed as this is what most people elsewhere swear by and it looks like it was developed for the cc roof rubbers etc. it's expensive but it looks like the big boys such as Aston M and Ferrari use it so it must be ok?
Just wondering if the product link suggested leaves a clear finish or a white residue.?
Any thoughts on the Swiss???
Many thanks

I have never used swiss so can't comment on that , with the grease I just rub it in with my fingers, and in the winter I put plenty on the seals ,it just leaves the seals shinny black
