CC Roof/Boot Lid closing problem

Hi

I have a '07 CC done 38K miles. When the roof closes and the boot lid is about 10ins from closing the drivers side of it drops about 2ins and then the whole lid continues to close properly.

I've noticed that where the boot lid is attached to the rear lock mechanism, the bit that pivots out will drop the 2ins on drivers side when closing.

Is this a common fault with a easy diy fix or would it be a garage visit?

I have searched the problem pages but couldn't find anything similar to this. Thanks in advance for any advice.
