Took my Megane cc to main dealer today for a rear winow regulator fault. Apparently a common fault on the cc. Renault agreed to pay 62% of bill even though my car is an 07 reg. I had to pay £161
Anyway, picked the car up this afternoon. tried the window and it was fine. However the rear window on the other side had now stopped working! Walked back into the Renault Swansea reception and they said it must have just stopped like the other one. Bit strange as it was working when I took the car in? They now want to replace this one at another £161 as they said they did not touch the other side - though they did say that they had done something to the wireing. Could they have maybe shorted the other side out?

No , you've just been unlucky. It is a VERY common fault. Google it and see just how common!!!
French and electronics - never a good combination. As I've said before great cars when they are working, but the electrics are total garbage!!

I took mine in this week with exact same problem. (rear drivers window intermittently working)
However they said it had nothing to do with the regulator and fixed some wiring under the drivers seat.
That cost £200 as they had to remove seat and carpet to fix.
But all windows work now

Did it work when you first picked up the car and then fail or hasn't it worked at all?

All working still, not tried it in damp/cold yet....and the rear switches still dont work but they do work from the Drivers door.
So not totally happy but not bad either.

Only the drivers side rear was not working. Fixed by dealer, but when I went to pick car up from dealer, and checked all the windows while still in the dealer, passenger side rear had stopped. Passenger side rear was fine when I took car into dealer

I reckon you've got a pretty good case, bit of a coincidence isn't it.
