Suspension Question
I have a 2004 1.9DCi CC on standard Suspension , I was wondering if anyone out there knows if either a 2007, 225 Suspension set up ( complete Front Strut , spring and top mount) or a 2008 F1 230 R26 Complet Front set plus rear shocks would fit a standard Meg CC, you can get Apex Lowering springs (-30mm) for around £100 but don't really want to lower it that much as they are actually quite low anyway you don't get a lot of room under the car as it is on standard springs and it is very easy to rub the front and rear bumper valances on kerbs and speed humps, so dropping it again another 30 mm I think will give me bigger problems in the long run so if anyone has done the above let me know how it went please.

Re: Suspension Question
i think the problem you may have is that the 225 struts are thicker and won't fit in your steering knuckle,
another problem is the weight difference between the 225 and a dci CC, a standard 225 and dci are about the same weight but the CC weighs even more so the springs may be to soft

Re: Suspension Question
Ah!
I was to busy looking at the length and the fact that a 225 has a good solid ride, never thought of the weight differance of the vehicles, even though the CC is known in our house as the mobile conservatory, thickness never occured to me either, thanks for that, isn't there a saying about can't see the woods for the trees!
Looks like Apex lowering springs (30mm) and new OE shocks, to start, which apparantly (acording to Apex) tighten it up a little with and small drop in height, as th eplastics are all clipped instead of screwed so they will rattle like mad, and the roof is only really fixed in place by two hooks at eh front so I don't want that to be banged around either by a to harsh ride, I put sport struts and shocks on my old Bravo and it handled great but way to harsh to the point cats eyes made the CD jump, so don't want to take the CC there as it is a very comfy ride just needs to be a bit tighter.
