CAR IS LEAKING

Postby westhamhammer » Thu Aug 04, 2011 1:09 pm

Hi All, :D

I have just bought a Megane CC and love it, only problem is the summer has gone, the skies have opened and my car leaks :cry ......it seems to be the seals around the front windows....can the windows be adjusted?

Renault want £125 to adjust both windows, is there a test I can do or are there people that can fix the issue...

I am sure it is this as there are 1mm gaps each side.....

cheers for any replys.

Jase

Some Meganes have adjuster screws at the bottom of the door and all you have to do is take out rubber grommets to get to em. If you search there is a post here somewhere with much more detail on how to adjust them.

There is, but I still can't find my 2nd screw, got the one nearest door hindge, but the one at the lock end of the door seems to be rather elusive, and WETTING my shoulder now when on the move..... :-(
Tried a brolly but it looks a bit kippy, plus you can't see where your going. :dead
