Same colour as mine, mines a Privilege...
As for the CD, Dave is right, take it out and take it apart, this is how they remove them in the factory when you send a warranty unit back with a stuck CD. As for £800 notes I think that is a bit stiff, keep looking on Ebay a lot of people change the radio for a Double Din unit be it a media system or a sat nav system, they can't keep the changer it seems it is the usual Renault trick of not being able to find a compatable cable to link it, I had a Renault Alpine Boot CD changer many years back, you could not conect it up to anything bar a Renault Head unit not even to another Alpine Head Unit, as the link cable was slightly differant in shape and pin configuration.
Never pulled a 5 CD changer apart s ono idea what it looks like inside, a standard single CD player is very simple in operation and to remove a stuck CD. you may find it has perhaps done the same as my technics system at home that uses the Shuffle system, a CD has not sat properly in the cradle so went it shuffled the CD has fell out and jammed the unit, I took my system apart and pushed the CD back onto the cradle reassembled and it worked fine, you might find you have a similar porblem, I wouls pull it out and take the cover off and have a look, lets face it, it is knackerd now anyway,as it doesn't work and it owes you a CD, so you are not going to lose much really from trying!
Go for it, why not!
