I'd probably remove the unit (4 nails in the 4 holes), and then take the lid off. There is probably an easier way, however.

thanks for the answer. I mean the cd is stuck in the cd changer (privilege, 2003), sorry my bad. I went to see an especialist and told me the the unit was made by renault and only renault can fix it but they dont have parts for it because they stopped production a while ago so very probably I will have to buy a new unit which the guy said cost about 800 quid :eek

Here's one on Ebay for £50. Wrong colour front for Privilege I think, but you can probably swap front and buttons with yours.

Same colour as mine, mines a Privilege...
As for the CD, Dave is right, take it out and take it apart, this is how they remove them in the factory when you send a warranty unit back with a stuck CD. As for £800 notes I think that is a bit stiff, keep looking on Ebay a lot of people change the radio for a Double Din unit be it a media system or a sat nav system, they can't keep the changer it seems it is the usual Renault trick of not being able to find a compatable cable to link it, I had a Renault Alpine Boot CD changer many years back, you could not conect it up to anything bar a Renault Head unit not even to another Alpine Head Unit, as the link cable was slightly differant in shape and pin configuration.
Never pulled a 5 CD changer apart s ono idea what it looks like inside, a standard single CD player is very simple in operation and to remove a stuck CD. you may find it has perhaps done the same as my technics system at home that uses the Shuffle system, a CD has not sat properly in the cradle so went it shuffled the CD has fell out and jammed the unit, I took my system apart and pushed the CD back onto the cradle reassembled and it worked fine, you might find you have a similar porblem, I wouls pull it out and take the cover off and have a look, lets face it, it is knackerd now anyway,as it doesn't work and it owes you a CD, so you are not going to lose much really from trying!
Go for it, why not!

The four holes in the front require pins or nails of the same diameter inserting. This releases it. There is a DIN removal tool but it is just two sets of two prongs...

the changer has only 2 rectangular wholes on the front!

different tool required then..

Try sticking in a couple of cable ties / lolly sticks / anything flat and long enough to disengage the locking parts..
