just purchased a 2003 megane 2.0 convertible, and am occasionally getting the message "CHECK INJECTION" along with the SERVICE light. And when this happens,it is very jerky when pulling away in first gear.

hmmm Strange. The computer is saying that its the fuel injection system. Take it to a garage that has a diagnostics system that they just plug the car into and get them to (in theory) reset the computer. I had the same with a 206.
OR it could be the coilpack on the way out. Do you have it in any other gears ?

its a 2.0ltr 2003 car! so its a petrol! biggest diesel they made then in the meg range was the 1.9Dci, sounds like a semi blocked injector, try some redex or injector cleaner through it befor you get ripped off by the dealer!

If its a similar fault code maybe it could be the spark plug. Just a Guess though. Might be worth a check

Funny you should say that I bought some Wynns Injector cleaner today, the 1 use ever 3 months bottle. I think its better than redex, but thats just my opinion of course. They all supposed to do the same thing.
Obviously mine was Diesel version

In our case the same occassional error was due to faulty coil packs. Changed those and the spark plugs with no recurrance in about 4000 miles so far. Ours is also the 2.0l petrol CC.

UPDATE ...........Took it back to the guy I bought it from, (still in the 28 day warranty). Drove 60 miles to his garage, and it never came up with the problem. He put it on a computer, cleared the codes and we went for a run in it, and then he plugged it back in,and it showed no faults.
Drove 60 miles home,no problem. Two weeks later I have got the toxic fume light and service light on constantly and yesterday the check ignition light is back on,along with kangaroo performance in 1st and second.
Was wondering,I have RAC recovery, will they come out and fix it ?

Im not sure RAC will be able to fix that at the road side, but I could be wrong. It could be an ECU problem

Could well be a faulty coil pack giving a weak spark and not burning the fuel in the cylinder fully, which will I think put on your toxic fume warning light and service light, kangarooing could be coil pack gone completly now or on its very last legs!, hopefully a cheapish fix for you.
