Is that a question or a answer?

Im seriosly seeking the answer, as the symbols on the interior fuse box do not correspond to any reversing lights that I can see???

I do know quite a bit about vehicles, I do actually drive trucks as a living, so I dont call out a service van and wait a hour or three to replace a fuse....

I usually do that job myself

I think he means they are in the glovebox, there are also a bank of fuses under bonnet next to battery, sidelight and interior light 7.5 small blade fuses are there, so reverse may be there as well would not have thought a 1.9 would be that differant to a 1.5Dci. [silly plactic box covers them, push fingers down long side(next to engine) and push long side towards wing and lift, there is a small wedge shaped locator holding in place on the long side].
it could also be the switch, but no idea where that will hide.
hope this helps.
Incidentally the blade fuses it uses are not the normal size ones I think they call them mini blades, they are quite small.
I had a side light fuse blow and it took out passenger side light and some of the interior lights radio and CD, door and roof switch illumination had gone so it was a bit of a strange one, don't know if any rear lights where out didn't think to look, so with both reverse light out you may be looking at a fuse but maybe the switch or an earth if nothing else has gone. 8-)

Many thanks Chris

I will have a look soon to see, Ive seen some fuses boxes but i think this beats the worse design, esp when someone pinches the pincher so you need thin blade pliers :mad

Thanks to this site, i have also found how to adjust the headlights, at the mo I feel unsafe to drive it at night without the driving lights on to show the road off better, thankfully I live in the fens so Headlights are on most of the time which I dont do normally

Regards

This might be a daft suggestion, but have you checked that the actuator switch hasn't broken? It used to be an issue on earlier Renault models. It's located at the bottom of the gearstick where it enters the gearbox housing and can either break or have the connection fall off.

Re: No reversing lights (fuses ok)

Do you mean the switch on the gearbox??

After taking off the battery and the engine management box (presumed - Behind battery) I was able to check all the fuses under the bonnet the large fuses and the mini ones on the control? board, Non of which are faulty as I can see

So probably the actuator? or switch on the gearbox

I couldnt take off the connector off the switch, presumably its the green topped switch under the battery and near the gear linkage to the gearbox

This connector has 3 wires, which wires do i need to link together to get the reversing lights to light (yes I know battery etc will need putting back)

and any tips on taking the connector off without breaking the connector or switch??

thanks
