The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi can any body help me the radio on my 2004 cc It loses station as though there is no aerial attached. ( It is ) Heard about the prob with A4 convertibles with the wire breaking over time from the lid opening and closing. Is there a similar prob with the megane and is it easy to check/fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the original big aerial that comes on the car?

no a short thick stubby one though have been told it should be more than acceptable.

Same happened on my 2007 cc in December had to have a new cable put in as it had a break in it from opening and closing the boot, had it done under warranty but think they had to take the seats and carpets out to feed it through to the front. I can see that they also left the original cable in. It has been fine since.

Think the standard ariel is amplified so the stubby one might not fit, I have a honda civic ariel on mine. I got from ebay works great.

Thanks for the info will get reault to tell me where the break is likely to be and get my local audio firm to cut and put a new bit of wire in like they do for the Audi's Ta
