Re: Plexiglass deflector
I'd be interested for a sensible price if it works for the rear passengers.

Re: Plexiglass deflector
Did you get any where with this because one of those at a reasonable price would be great

Re: Plexiglass deflector
So much interest. surely someone must have it, to make a template?
Re: Plexiglass deflector
Whoever it was that started this: get back to me with a template. I'll price it up.
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)
Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120
Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Re: Plexiglass deflector
Does anyone have a Plexiglass Wind Break for the CC?
If so, could you create a paper/card template?
I would happily pay for time and effort to create a paper or card template
You cannot buy these at all from anywhere
Please help

Re: Plexiglass deflector
Hi All
I have been a member of this forum for some time now although I don't post on a regular basis.
I have made many Acrylic deflectors for many vehicles in the past (Bmw Z3/Z4/Westfield 7 amongst others)for customers although these were usually by hand from a cardboard template, I even made one for my own megane cc a couple of years ago, this was cnc cut as I had time to play around with it.
I am in a position where I can manufacture these & have thought about a small sideline ie:(ebay) as an outlet for such items as long as theres enough interest.
I still have my original cad drawings for the cc deflector & could easily cnc a batch off.
I am not trying to rip anyone off & I Know what it would cost for me to manufacture these units but I would appreciate the forum members thoughts on what you would consider a reasonable purchase price?
I would also need to add in the cost of the velcro as what I used for mine was a sample piece from one of my suppliers.
I see the prices on ebay are very over the top £135.00 but I suppose if your aiming at merc & jag owners you can get away with a bit more.
Delivery costs would be £12.50, I know that sounds high but is in fact cost price via Interlink express who we use daily & offer a second to none service.
As stated elsewhere in the post it is in no way to replace the Genuine renault deflector as it's to far back to benefit front seat users, but it does make a difference for the rear passengers. My daughters hair is halfway down her back & unless it's tied up it looks like she's been pulled through a hedge backwards when we stop.
As it's made from clear Acrylic It also has the advantage of not affecting the rear view.
I leave the deflector in place 24/7 infact it has only been removed for cleaning once in the last couple of years, just needs a wipe over with a damp cloth & dusting every now and then.(no solvent cleaners should be used ie: window cleaners, furniture polish) although"Autoglym Fast Glass" is fine.
A couple of photos added.

i've waffled enough so over to you.
Your thoughts please?

Re: Plexiglass deflector
That is exactly what I need
What pricing would you need to sell at, to cover materials (inc velcro) Manufacturing and time/effort?
Will happily be a test subject/photo guide etc
