cc rear window not working...advise!

appears to be a common issue only mine does not go down with roof or just by window switches, car is on a 56 plate! went to Renault who have booked it in for Tuesday but they told me its a common issue and car is out of warranty....so I have 2 questions... what is it likely to be?
And 2nd as they told me its a common issue (though out of warranty) will they honour a repair FOC ?

Any suggestions / help greatly appreciated.

Can you hear the motor going if so could be cable snapped.

Hi Alan, No I cant hear any motor, and when you press overs you can hear a change in engine note, but not on the one that isnt working, only stopped working after I washed my car the other day!!!...any more suggestions?

They won't do it FOC, but on our 55 plate car they have just paid 95% of the cost of a front regulator. I paid the rest.

I spoke to customer services at Renault UK, they asked some questions ref mileage service history (1st by dealer, 2nd by me).
I also had a problem with the locking button on the drivers door(keyless entry) not working. Renault UK paid 95% and I paid the other 5%, which amounted to costing me £17!! .

Renault UK contacted my local dealer and sorted it directly with them, the dealer then called me to book the car in for the work to be done.

well done you I sent renault Uk a mail on Tuesday and heard nothing back despite the site saying they will contact me within 24hrs, so off I went to the dealership, who have booked it in for tuesday!!! hope I have your luck, just got rid of one heap of crap, a VW Jetta 07 plate witha very rusty bonnet!!! declined repair as warranty as they said it was not a rust issue which they guarantee against for 12years, it was a paint issue which they only guarantee for 3!!!...hence car sold and Megane bought only two weeks ago now for this to happen...Thanks for your help anyway...fingers crossed!!

Hi folks thought i should update you... car went to renault this morning and indeed it was the regulator that was broken, after some deep conversations renault agreed to only pay 75% of the total costs, leaving me £165 to pay!! not the result I really wanted but at least they agreed to complete the works with some contribution from myself, some appear luckier than myself having less to contribute...maybe a test of the current times.
they loaned me a courtesy car (had to pay£10 for Insurance!!!) and I get the Megane back Wednesday tea time...

Thanks to all offered advise, in particular Jak 01 (John) for your advise...
Hopefully the rest of my fun ownership will be trouble free....shush...

Hi mate how much was total cost and how many windows were fixed. Both my rear passenger are not working and its booked in after speaking to renault customer service so trying to see how much it will all cost.

Hi sorry for late reply, cost me 65.00 for one side, renault UK have a policy for this issue to pay 75% of costs, speak to a lady called Yvonne Gordon at renault un customer services, she is the manager her No is 08000723372.

She only made contact with me after the repair, as they were running behind with contacting cutomers using the web site, however she appeared very friendly and told me of the policy they have...GOOD LUCK./
