Re: Angel eye headlights & Bumper
Wow I am just about to do the same thing, have you got the black or chrome ones? I am going for black as my car is sliver and they seem to blend in better with the grill, the chap that is selling them to me has told me the plug directly into the car loom, so who knows, I do know the power to the bulb inside the headlamp you have on now has two power leads and one earth lead, so I guess the 2 leads are auto lights power and switched light power, so I will have to have a look inside the lamp when it turns up.
Who did you buy them off? mine are from ebay a company called Karlites, £125 for the pair.

I'm waiting for the weather to improve before I fit my silver ones..
I bought them from a forum member and they have xenon HIDs already fitted.
I took my wife's car to be MOT'd a few days ago and arranged with the tester that when I have fitted the lights, he's going to help me align them correctly using his test equipment. - I asked if I could do it myself by just putting a chalk line on the fence with the old lights, then matching that with the new and he answered that it wouldn't be good enough, you have to get the height and angle correct...
I'll take some before and after pics as well, just for fun..

DO NOT UPLOAD ANY IMAGES OF THE CHROME ANGELEYES!!!!!!!
Especially if you have a silver CC as I was going to buy the chrome ones but was sent images of the black ones and thought wow they look great and bought them, I will be gutted if they look fab

This is what they should look like!

Re: Angel eye headlights & Bumper
Mine have just arrived yesterday, same for me though, waiting for weather to pick up before fittment, still have to sort out my handbrake and parking sensors just a bit to cold and snowy for me really, Mark have you got the chrome lamps or the black ones? if they are chrome would be interseted to see images when fitted, got mine now so it is to late to change mind
incidentally the image is not my car, it was an image that the guy selling the lamps sent to me of another meg he had fitted the black ones to, as I said I did not like the blacks, he did say they blend in quite nice, and I thought he was right. I saw some black lamps on a corsa in Tesco and they looked awful, really tacky which was what I wanted to avoid, I was initially looking at the Audi style DLR lamps but at over £170 I thought they where a bit to expensive.

Well, I finally fitted them..
The previous owner had put some 35w HIDs in them, but it turned out that one of the ballasts was faulty, so I swapped in some regular H1 bulbs instead..
It took me bleedin ages to get the lights installed.. at first I messed about trying to get the HIDs to work before I decided that one of the ballasts must be bad, then I forgot to re-attach the fog light cable, then I realised that I hadn't fitted the bumper brackets to the underside of the lights.. so in the end I had the bumper off 3 times..
I toyed with the idea of getting some new HIDs and fitting them, but I am now concerned about the legality of doing so.. - it's a bit of a shame as they aren't as bright as the factory lights..
I've ordered up some OSRAM NightBreaker H1 bulbs, so we'll see how those perform..

Here you can see the bracket properly fitted..

Both brackets on now..

The finished product.. I'll take some night photos with my DSLR instead of my crappy iPhone camera..
I'm quite pleased - it's not too 'ricey' or 'boy-racer' but I think that after I've sorted the cruise control and tuned up my IMPRINT stereo properly .. I'll leave the car alone from now on..

Re: Angel eye headlights & Bumper
Simple to fit, looked good, ligh wise TOTALLY useless, now out and sold on. I found with mine the angel eye rim light was not bright enough, the projector dipped beam was totally useless and a dark nigh no where enough ligh on the road, light patern was good just way to low even adjusted right up, the main bean seemed way to high to be of much use really, as said looked good, but of no real practical use for winter driving, especially on a unlit road in the rain..

just gonna fit some to mine, give it a go and if crap like you say, i'll just swap emback.
I put some on a Pug 206 a couple of years back and as you say, light wise, they are no good on a dark rainy night, if you know the Rhosneigr winding road like the back of your hand like I do, not a prob, but if you don't know the bends on a back road your knackered!

Re: Angel eye headlights & Bumper
New tarmac is also crap as well they have stopped using the crushed glass in it so it just "sucks" all your light away, worst part i found was on the A55 heading towards Abergwyngregyn from Anglesey, just where the road narrows on that section, at night those angle eyes would not pick up the grass verge properly so you where never really sure where it was in relation to your road position, some people seem to have good ones other not, possibly depends on where they are made, my where definatly useless, also found the projectors wheren't that bright so they didn't cancel out oncoming cars lamps, so you where blinded, doesn't help not being able to fully adjust height either. I had to use two nuts to tilt the lamp upwards, which made the flippin high beam even more useless, apart from good at lighting up tops of lamp posts.
Ah well you win some you lose some. as for Angel eyes, I lost!

I sold mine as well, they were useless..
I've gone back to the stock lights, with Osram nightbreaker bulbs - which don't improve things much, but look flipping bright from outside the car..
