radio working -no sound!

Flying along... roof down listening to me beats.....then a pop sound -burning smell and no sound at all.
Radio/nav working fine, cd changer working fine all other electrical items seem fine.
Just no sound at all.. not a peep from any speaker. So question is is there some kind of amp behind dash or is there one in the carminat unit
HU clearly getting power as its working as norm yet not a bean from the speakers.
Like a bit of open air quo as well. Knew it would fight back from the windy reg but dissin me beats......come on play fair....
Anyone any ideas or better still fixes seen a couple of carminats on fleabay .
Think she is getting close to a dam good thrashing with a branch!!!!

clearly did not like status quo.. the diamond of doom strikes again.
Cost me 39 of your english pounds for another sat nav off fleabay.
Beginning to wonder if it would have been a fitting end burning on the side of the road roof off looking gooooood!

normal service is resumed.
Seems it was the amp in the back of radio. £39 later sat nav head replaced and sound returns but did find out 6 disc cd needs a code which surprised me they r usually just a slave to HU easily found mind you.
So ha! Balls in your court again meg...............game on!
