Seat?
Hi, my oassenger seat is not locking back into place when I let the kids in the back, pull the lever up, push the seat back rest forward and slide seat forward a couple of inches, all good, kids in, return the seat to its sitting position and whoosh, it flies all the way back on the rails and won't lock in its original position, any one else had this? I also think it's done some damage to the airbag connection under the seat cus airbag light is now on!
Re: Seat?
I bought seats from a crashed megane cc. you will need to remove the seat or get someone with small hands to reach under the seat and see if the wire/switch connecting the seat to the "electrics" is still in place. Its located directly underneath the seat roughly in the middle but should be able to reach it if the seat is all the way back.
That should take care of the airbag light.
With regards to the seat itself I am not sure. perhaps the stopper is gone. Could look around on the junk yards for the bottom bit and just swap it over.
You are 6 months late or you could have had my old one.

Re: Seat?
Are you pushing the back rest back until it locks. Mine does the same thing I the seat is not moved forward on the front seat lever. I am trying to say sit in seat use the seat distance lever to move seat closer to glove box get out pull the backrest lever up to tilt seat if I don't do this and passenger gets in the back seat will not go far enough to lock into position. Other issue may be simply a lube problem they do get dry and twitchy..
As for airbag a common problem! Mine is around 90% of the time now on movement of passenger seat airbag light comes on.. why? as the seat moves the cables in the connector under the seat move the pins in the conector move making the female side of the conector loose thus putting light on fix is easy ignition off kneel next to seat feel around under seat until you find the cables pull gently out of carpet hole and squeeze the conector together next time ignition on light stays out until seat moved again... permanent fix is to remove conector completely and solder wires, personally I wouldn't solder airbag cables but use crimp conectors instead. still haven't done mine yet but it seems this is a fix on a lot of makes. There are actually adjusters on the cables but you need to remove seat squabs to get to them you pull the cables apart at the adjuster they lock into place with little teeth make the sheath longer and the cable tighter. Just a typical french idea hide them under seat squab. Thw one for the back rest tilt/slide is in the back resttoward the bottom you have to peel the leather/cloth up to get to it. Sear out is best the lean back and seat slide cable adjuster are again seat cover off and they live just behind the plastic trim front of seat as aaid brilliant French idea.
