condensation on the roof of the boot

Hi,
im wondering if any one could help?
not had the car long, i opened the car boot other day and there was a lot of condensation in the boot.
does anyone now why this is happening and any measures to stop it?

When I got mine, I found the rubber strips were very hard and had something like tree sap on them. I cleaned them all and applied a proper rubber seal lubricant and all has been fine even through the rain and snow we've had over the last few weeks.
