Performance upgrades

Postby Whitelaw87 » Wed Dec 03, 2014 3:41 pm

This may seem silly, but is there anyway I can upgrade anything on my 1.4 16v megane 2? (As you will now know from reading this i don't know my way around engines) I am wondering if there are any kits i could buy for it or any other tuning methods, cheers

I didnt think they made a 1.4 megane cc. But if it doesnt have a turbo then performance upgrades will be a bit co$t£y before you see results.

The quick obvious mods are exhaust, free flow air filter and/or cold air induction kit. The standard electronics will allow for these, but after that you are looking to have the "electronic brain " recalibrated. Cars are made so they work under all foreseeable conditions and with variable quality fuel, so a specialist will tune your car to work to Max performance in the uk. Trouble is all this cost will be made worse, by the extra premium your insurance will charge.
Probably better to go slow and just look good?
