i am having the same problem on my meg 2 cc... thinking of doing the same thing... but i have a removing guide that shows that i have to remove the top of the handle first and then remove some screws and just remove the entire doorpanel is that true or did you just wrap it with the handle still in place on the door???

and your badges on the front and back, did you finally pull them off or also attached ?? because if you pulled them off i am curious how you did that... please comment...

I removed the handles to wrap them. The front part of the handle (with the mirror switch) just unclips
with a bit of careful prying from the bottom working up. Then disconnect the switch cables and undo two
screws, top and bottom. The back part of the handle then comes away from the door card.

I did the front badge on the car, as I couldn't be arsed to remove the bumper. The rear badge unclips if you lever it.

I have a very scratched drivers door pull, I'm trying to get the back part of the handle off.
The front bit just unclamps from the bottom and pulls off, BUT can anyone tell me how to get the back part off (the scratched bit). It looks like it's screwed from inside the door so does the door card have to come off?

Any help would be very welcome

Thanks
Darren

Hi,

when you lever off the cover (from the bottom, there is a plug for the door mirrors that you need to remove. You then have two torx head screws top and bottom to remove to take the handle off.

Hope this helps.

I did look for these last time I was going to take the handle off KP but it looks like mine are fixed from the back of the door card ?
I am away at the moment but when I get home I will take a picture and post it so you can see what I mean.

Thanks for your help

Darren
