flashing spanner

Hi does anyone how to turn the flashing spanner off on my dashboard says change oil soon.

Use the button on the end of the wiper stalk flick till you come to the change oil soon and then hold the mileage reset button in till 18000 k flashes up and keep holding it till it stops flashing

In my experience, it shows this message for a reason - my oil years back, was foul. I changed it. You could override the message, but please check it first.
