Daughters BF going to work this morning and the car started to make a vibrating noise seemingly coming from the driver's footwell.
No lights on dash and engine runs.
Any ideas what could be wrong and how he might examine the car to find the issue?

Is it vibrating while stationary?
If it is the case, then something has collapsed and the engine is pressed against the body. It could be an object stuck behind the engine, but what object?.. The engine mounts need to be checked. Was the belt changed recently?

Turned out to be a sheared gearbox mount bolt and it has been fixed!
