The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi,

In my Megane III car I found now for the first time that a light didnt work, not strange, well strange that both light bulbs on the license plate was not working at the same time so I started to change one of the light bulbs and I can't get it to work.

Am I maybe doing something wrong ? I have read the manual (though very little information there).

One theory was that maybe it was a problem with a fuse, but in the handbook I can't find any fuse for the license plate light.

Does anyone have any clue about this ? Probably very easy, but I dont know much about cars unfortunately

My Megane plate lights have failed twice since new due to water getting in to the fittings. A new wiring loom and light holders were required both times. Good that it was still under warranty. Mechanic said the bulb holders were NOT waterproof and it would happen again! So I'll get rid of my Megane and buy a VW next time...
