Megane III Coupe I-Music dCi 106 - Back Shelf FAULT

Hi All,

I have had my Megane III Coupe I-Music dCi 106 (Black) since March 5th which firstly is fantastic, great to drive and looks stunning but there is one thing that is driving me crazy and wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

The back shelf rattles when driving or if you hit a smallest bump. There are rubbers on the shelf that push against the boot to stop this from happening but upon inspection from the back seat its the other side of the shelf thats next to the middle rear headrest.

It seems very loose and makes the sound that is causing me to turn the music up more and more each time.

Friends are saying that it's just me being paronoid and to ignore it but after paying £21200 I dont expect it.

I did have another issue with the accelerator pedal clicking when I touch it which again became a pain but they fixed that for me within a few minutes after a bit of plastic was rubbing so it was not such a big deal. Renault have said to book it in to be looked at but wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue?

If there is any problem with a brand new car at that sort of money i would be straight back to them.

Take the spanner monkey out a drive and let him sit in the back so he can hear the noise for himself, also giving you a chance to describe it to you.

I have found this is the best method as if you just leave it with them they generaly find nothing at fault.

Dont be fobbed off by them you have paid good money so the car should be in perfect condition.
