Rear wiper working with tailgate .. ?

Hi,

I have this issue with my 07 Megane Estate. When I turn on the rear wiper it doesn't always work, and I noticed that I have better luck getting the rear wiper to work if I turn on the defogger. Sometimes when the defogger turns on, the rear wiper turns on.

A few weeks ago I noticed that when I lock the car, all the doors get locked except for the tailgate. To close the tailgate I have to open it, close it and re lock the car..

I've also noticed that whenever the car is turned on and I go to open the tailgate, the rear wiper moves a bit. Every time I press the button to open the door the wiper moves a bit. I used a test light and confirmed that whenever the button on the tailgate is pressed, the rear wiper gets a short burst of electricity through it's black cable marked '3'.

Anyone else had any similar issue or knows a fix ?

It is one or more breaks in the wiring loom
Where the loom bends with the opening
And closing of the tailgate, the outer
Insulation may look intact,but the copper
Strands are broken inside. I had the exact
Symptoms
