hello, i own a sedan 1.6 vvt and i would like to fit alloy wheels. I am interested in keeping the fuel consumption as low as possible so keeping the 195/65/15 dimension could be the answer. My question though is this: whould the wheel look small with 15 inch alloy; As if it was meant for a smaller car i mean.
And also if i do go for the 16 inch alloys with 205/55/16 dimension, what would be the penalty on fuel consumption and on accelaration?
thank you!
alloys: what size?

Nothing. The rolling diameter (and therefore circumference) is the same.

Thanks for the reply, so the wider tire would not be more fuel thirsty? That is my main concern you see.

Re: alloys: what size?
No. Would not make a measurable difference.
Many other factors affect fuel consumption more, such as:-
Incorrect tyre pressures, carrying excess weight, type of journey, driving style, weather conditions, having a roof rack or roof box, using aircon, driving with the windows or sunroof open, proper servicing and maintenance, to mention a few.
Oh and YES, a 15" alloys will look rubbish!
