no problem just hi

Postby Ghostbiker » Mon May 30, 2016 9:13 pm

Just brought a 53 plate megane convertible.
Soft top in black 1.6 Auto
Just wanted to say hi and ask a really simple question.
Are the little side back Windows meant to go down ?
Seemed a little odd being stuck up with the front Windows down. There are 2 switch behind hand brake but they don't seem to do anything.
Going to look for a manual soon.

Hi,
Yes they are. The switches for rear windows and the motors are known weaknesses in the Megane's of this era.
Regards
Gazzer.

Thx for that. I didn't want to look a complete fool taking it to a garage to fix something that isn't meant to move hehe

hi Ghost.

I´ve seen people take the switch out and blast it with "electric contact cleaner" and it works again, and i´ve heard of other people taking the motor apart in the side panel, theres step by step guides on other renault websites. (not sure if im allowed to post the link)
