Door Locking Problems

Hi I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone can help. The drivers side door on my megane wasn't shutting as the catch wasn't working but i moved it and it shut fine but the digital display on the dashboard still shows the door as open so when i drive it bleeps and comes up with a message sayinf doors open and all the interior lights stay on even though the door is shut!! This also means that it will not allow me to lock the car as evertime i press the button to lock it, it unlocks again as the car thinks the door is open?? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
