BAD STARTER

HI CAN ANY ONE HELP I HAVE A MEGANE SPORT 1.9 DTI
WHEN I FIRST GET IN AND PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT ONLY STOPS ON FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS
THE ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT IT TAKES AGES TO FIRE
I HAVE REPLACED THE GLOW PLUGS BUT STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM
SHOULD THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT STOP ON LONGER IF IT DOESNT FIRE IT JUST FLATENS THE BATTERY AFTER A WHILE
ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

turn the heat the glow pulgs 3 times b4 turning the engine over this should make sure the plugs ready and should (touch wood ) start first time
