HELP I CARNT FILL UP DUE TO PERTOL FILLER STAYING LOCKED

Following this weeks bad snow in leicester my megane has remained on side of road... until today when i thought i best fill up with juice and start getting out and about... to my shock and horror the central locking wont open my filler cap..
so what do i do know??? it there a manual relese to this pesky thing or do i just use brut force and snap it off??? :hm
