that bloody horn

Postby alexgordon21 » Sat Dec 27, 2008 9:52 pm

hi, having coped with the horn for quite a while its finally given up and stopped working all together, i have managed to get the left bit of the grill off to get to the horn, now i'm there and hit it a couple of times with a hammer and still it only manages a little squeak then stops again, ive seen a few replacements on ebay however i dont know if i has to be a direct renault replacement or if any one can be put on without any/much work.
many thanks

alex

No it does'nt have to be a genuine Renault horn, several members have fitted different types to their Meganes.

Try searching the forum and you should find lots of info.

I think PIAA horns will fit with little or no modification needed? https://www.motaman.co.uk/Product.aspx?nCatId=137

I've got thi PIAA horns on mine.
Have to cut off the conector and solder the new wires on.
Easy enough job but not stright swap over.
