Changing Suspension

Postby meganeboy » Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:23 pm

Hi all,

I'm more looking for suggestions rather than a real problem here....

My Meg 2 sedan has about 50,000Km and I was thinking of changing the shock absorbers. Was thinking of getting Monroe instead of the original ones. I had Monroe's on my Clio and they were great. Apart from shock absorbers, what other suspension / steering parts would anyone recommend changing? I have a slight knocking sound when going round bumpy corners (which is most of the time with the roads we have here in Malta!!)

Also, how would you know if an engine mount needs to be changed?

Thanks to all.....

Front strut top mounts, these are prone to failure and will cause a knocking / clunking whilst turning at low speed.
