4.8 inc filter if memory serves me well?

If it's the FAP fitted model then you MUST USE a 0W30 or 5W30 ACEA C3 oil, anything else can potentially knacker up the FAP filter

cheers guys, i did know that it was 5w 30 acea c3 oil, and knackering the soot filter might not be a bad idea if was not so expensive to replace, i am currently driving 150 extra miles each fill up to regenerate it. i am thinking of emailing renault to ask them if any thing can be done, as i know there not the only car maker with this problem :banghead

There are some 5w40 C3 spec oils available now that are fine to use with FAP.. for example Castrol Magnatec Professional or Edge..

data sheet here.. http://datasheets.bp.com/bpglis/lsdsukf.nsf/0/E043ED739ED06D7D802573C600388493/$file/090574.pdf

And sold by Opie oils.. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-719-castrol-edge-td-5w-40-advanced-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx

In our dealership we use Profesional C3 grade in all our vehicles now...

Obviously it did not serve me that well! :sad

Funnily enough I had the Laguna serviced a couple of weeks ago and they used Magnatec Professional 5W40 C3
