Hi everyone,
First time posting an issue, so hope i'm doing it right!
I have a problem with the heating control illumination on the right. It has gone very dim on the right handside after recently having a some work done on my car (fitting an active sub!) - not sure if taking the headunit out has knocked anything out of place or whether its a bulb that has gone.
I have a 55 plate Megane Oasis. After reading one or 2 other posts, another member has found that giving it a bit of a knock next to the control has brought the light back! I gave it a try and yes it worked! However, it seems to go out when i adjust a combination of the controls.
Can anyone suggest what it could be and how to rectify the problem?
Thanks in advance everyone!

Re: Heating Control Illumination
I have seen a thread on this forum but it was quite a while ago. If I remember correctly, there were two types of illumination for these switches. One was a bulb and the other was an LED so replacement might be easy or difficult depending on what sort it was. Sorry about being a bit vague but it was a while ago.

Re: Heating Control Illumination
Just to add to that folks, I've just called renault and they would charge me £85+vat per hour for the investigation. They estimate approx 2 hrs to do this part. On top of that if its the heating control unit could cost £550+vat to replace!!! HELP!!

Re: Heating Control Illumination
I have heard of this problem before... and have understood a quick resolution, in the form Impact Engineering (IE), In lay mans terms this means you make your hand into a fist and hit the dash hard.. This resolution has worked in many documented cases.
Hope this is of assistance.

Thanks for the reply P, however I have tried IE a couple of times and starting to find that my fist is turning a shade of red as the problem keeps re-occuring! Any other more long term fixes?
