Vibrations.. Again!! 1.9dci

Postby Grale » Fri Sep 05, 2008 3:35 pm

Sorry i know this has been discussed in other threads, but i can't find anything like what i have.

I bought my 1.9dci 2005 plate a couple of months ago, i never noticed any vibrations until i started the car the following morning, the vibrations could be felt through the steering wheel. but over the past weeks the vibrations have become more aggressive. i can now feel the whole car vibrating when i first start the car, the colder it is in the morning the worse it seems to be!

After traveling 4-6 miles the vibrations will dissapear almost completely.. they are quiet bad now and you can actually see the whole car vibrating as you sit there.

Thanks for any help :¬)

wouldn't have thought its a problem.
just the engine needs to work harder to warm up the colder the day is.

Ahhh well if others have it then i can live with it!

Runs perfect and the revs are rock solid while it's vibrating, so i guess i'll see how it goes on...

Deano, your right it does shake like a fookin fecker

Edit: how long does it take yours to smooth out after starting? mine seems to take a long time

mine gets up to temp fairly quickly as i'm on the motorway within 2 miles and there is no stopping for me so i honestly dont know how long it happens for. i'd guess quite a while though if i left it idling
