electric windows

hi there,

i have experienced problems with the drivers side electric window and now it will now not work at all. i have put the car in to my local garage and the have given me a price of £293.00! this is because it needs a new motor and the price from the dealership was £260.00. can anyone advise?

Ebay usually have lots and are quite easy to fit. How old is car? Common problem on Meganes and others have had work done free sometimes a year out of warranty.

I second this comment !! My 2004 Scenic window regulator broke (it was the plastic clip!) and RCS said my car was not one of the ones that was recalled, so tough !!
Fixed it myself for £3.06, no thanks to RCS, very bad customer service in my opinion, they obviously don`t want any more new customers !!

i got informed it was a £300 job when my regulator went wrong, from hartwell ford where i brought the car, but luckily i got warrenty with it , it still took them 6 days from when i gave them the car to when i got it back
