Had the warning 'Défaillance électronique' (electrical fault) and the 'Service' light come on whilst driving back from the UK towing something weighing 720kg.
This subsequently went off and hasn't reappeared.
Used the car yesterday without problem, but today I noticed the display on the radio dimmed and the sidelights were coming on whenever I touched the brakes.
The brake lights are working normally.
Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Electrical fault
Just a guess - some kind of loose connection which was disturbed when connecting your trailer/caravan electrics recently? Lights that come on when others (brakelights) are activated usually suggest a poor earth (bodywork) connection somewhere. Let us know what you find.

Re: Electrical fault
Hi
Discovered that the fault was in the towing electric socket, which is now sorted and the lights are all working as they should.
