Could be something simple like the balance on the radio needs adjusting. One of the buttons when pressed says B-F this can then change the balance from front to back or both speakers. Not sure of exact button but someone will be along that'll know. Also look in ICE section better for info about speakers there.

If the Fader is properly set,

get a 9v battery, get the radio out of the slot, get two wires and use the connector with all 8 wires in it. Use the both on the left and right, those are the rear speakers.

Put the wires in the negative and positive slot, and you should hear the speakers crackle when you hit the battery against the wires...if not...well, either the speakers are disconnected, not fitted or a wire broken.

But this is a fairly simple way to check, before you tear the car apart

Have you checked if you have any rear speakers at all in your car?

If the previous owner didn't choose the factory radio with 4 speakers, change is great that you only have the front ones, as my Megane did when I bought it second hand.

Rear speakers is not a standard option!
