Car won't start from clutch!!!

Hi
After getting the broken spring replaced last week I have tried to start the car today and it wont start with the clutch depressed. It starts fine with the brake depressed though. (If I keep getting little problems like this then it's going, only had it 3 months).
Anyway, has anyone any ideas what it could be? I've seen other stories about a wire coming loose from the clutch etc.
Thanks in advance.

Found out the problem. The wire has come away from the connector on the pedal. Looks like a DIY job to be honest but I might take it to the garage.

it is a DIY job. Renault only extend it by a few inches to stop it happening again (AFAIK)

mine has never started from clutch but stick your head under the steering coloum all it is is a simple 2wires into a switch, my wires have snapped from the switch but join the wires together and you wont need to depress the clutch or the brake the curcuit is complete and the car will just start when you press the start button

yeh but if you join the wires together - you cut off the only safety mechanism - and thus the car can start in gear which will not only endanger others if accedentaly pressed but also keep the starter engaged as car will keep tryin to restart as thinks that because the clutch is down - that the gearbox wont matter
Also when i tried it kept having "electric fault" come up on the dashboard

I think I'll just get it repaired !! I'd do it myself but the wire has snapped from right inside the connector.
